Day 232 – Post Four-Hundred-Three

Inspiration: Shadows.

Today was very tiring, but rewarding (: I worked from 7-2, and then did 2 hours of senior photos (which was so awesome), and then worked from 6-8. I am soo tired, but it was a great day and very worth it.

Au revoir,

Gigi

Day 231 – Post Four-Hundred-Two

Inspiration: I miss you, autumn leaves.

Today was a great day (: Thanks to a wonderful friend, she helped me with my run-on and fragment sentences. I also watched Tangled (twice!) I love that movie! I wish I had a cute little pet chameleon that sat on my shoulder and smiled like a creepy child . . . Seriously. That would just make my life.

Au revoir,

Gigi

A Game of Marionette – Post Four-Hundred-One

Like Marionettes, you dress us
You speak our words and direct our ways.
But my dear, life is not all fun and games,
& We are not dolls for you to orchestrate a life.

& so we understand your game, and no more shall we play.
We no longer wish to have you tell
Which way to sway and how to live
We understand now that you are just a child,
& no longer shall we listen to your feverish whimper,
For we are not a game of marionettes, my dear
& You should not pretend to be our Director.

Au revoir,

Gigi

Day 230 – Post Four-Hundred

Inspiration: Sunbather (:

Today was good. I went grocery shopping with a friend of mine, then we stopped by her place for lunch, and then she came over here to use my dryer and went off to work. (: It was a fun day. Then I studied grammar, haha. I seriously need some help with these fragment and run-on sentences, because I am just not getting it. Anyone a wiz at those 2 grammatical structures? Haha (:

Au revoir,

Gigi

Day 229 – Post Three-Hundred-Ninety-Nine

Inspiration: I thought it was interesting. (:

Today was a very slow day. All I did was school (I hate studying fragments and run-on sentences. Anyone want to help me? I just don’t get them) and then I went to church. It was a rough night, but it went well enough.
Please keep my grandfather in your prayers. Also, there is a man at my church named Hank who was in a bad accident today, so please pray for him and his wife too.

Au revoir,

Gigi

Day 228 – Post Three-Hundred-Ninety-Eight

Inspiration: For my momma.

Well, today was a really hard day. My grandpa is in the hospital. Long story short, he has an aneurysm in his brain, and the doctor’s have no idea what to do . . .
That’s all I can really say.

Au revoir,

Gigi

Wistful Dreams – Post Three-Hundred-Ninety-Six

Sweet dreams are made of carnations and spring;
They feel similar to petals,
Their scent is that of a fresh rain.

With broken hearts and crippled minds,
We move forward through those sweet dreams.
They remind us of what might be in another time,
Or what seems to sing when the light is full of dew.

Au revoir,

Gigi

Day 227 – Post Three-Hundred-Ninety-Five

Inspiration: IKEA.

Today was great (: accomplished a ton of school, went to the post office, was tortured at Fred Meyers by all the pretty flowers, and then babysat 3 amazing kids with my friend. It was awesome. Oh yes, and had a lovely dinner at said friend’s mother’s home (:
It was a good day. I like good days. (:

Au revoir,

Gigi

Inspiring Answers – Post Three-Hundred-Ninety-Four

I’m so excited! This is my first interview with another blogger, and I have to admit that it was very fun.

This young woman is a very inspiring, eclectic person, who started her blog as an outlet for herself. I really do love her blog, Clear The Way, and I seriously suggest that you stop by it. It really is intriguing and inspiring.

Without further ado, meet . . .

What’s your name?
My name is Kate and I am the force behind Clear the Way– a blog about beautiful things and design.  The main focus is fashion, but there is also a lot of interior decor, music, and lots of other little extras.
What inspired you to start “Clear the Way”?
I started my blog out of necessity.  I needed an outlet that would allow me to share all the things that inspire me.
Who is someone in your life that can make you happy, no matter what?
I am blessed with many people in my life who make me happy.  My mom, though, is Queenpin.  She has always been a steadfast rock to cling to or stand on- whatever my need may be.  Through her I have learned a lot and grown a lot, and really– growth is happiness.
What is a favorite pass time?
Besides blogging, there are many things I do to pass the time.  I enjoy sewing clothing and doing crafts.  Currently I’ve been spending more time writing songs.  I am a singer-songwriter and have many instruments, but guitar has been my muse lately.  I just finished writing my first blues song today!
What is the top thing you want to do before you die?
Oh gosh, besides having a family (which will be so fulfilling) I really want to travel.  Traveling as a gluten-free Vegan may be hard, but I heard that Florence has some perks for people like me.  I’ll go basically anywhere, though.
What is something that inspires you on a regular basis?
Beauty.  It’s simply in everything around us.  We don’t have to seek it out or create it (though we always can), it is just there for us to happen upon.  Today’s beauty was the shadow of my hammock outside on the concrete–  the stripes inspired me to design a dress.
Who is someone who inspires you?
I’m inspired by other bloggers.  This blog has always been inspiring, certain posts just kill me with it.  Other bloggers, too, though.  I’m just really inspired by people who put their voices out there to be heard.
Isn’t she amazing? I have to say, she is seriously an inspiring person.
Au revoir,
Gigi
