So Cute & Petite – Post Sixty

Well, I didn’t do very well on the Prom photos. It was raining outside, and the lighting inside was crappy, so I had to use my automatic setting and flash. Its very disappointing. They were happy with their photos, though, so I’ll try not to be so picky . . . haha. Yeah, right.

Well, visiting home was nice. I felt normal again haha. It was wonderful to visit with my best friend, my man and all my friends that I’ve missed so much! And, they all did a great job with Prom this year!

I miss home. I get to go back up in 2 weeks, though, for Graduation. And, my best friend comes down to visit me on the 6th. I can’t wait (:

Anyway, I have an add to It. Its very sweet, and I really hope I can do it (:

Simply a Night Owl – Post Fifty-Nine

I love that coat. I’ve wanted one like it since I first watched this movie in 2007. Its so elegant, and shows a chic, classy side of a woman. Very flattering, if you ask me, almost hints at a coy figure though. A coy character.

Now, this kind of jacket – the abominable leather jacket – shows a “Sit Down and Shut Up” attitude. Its fierce in a calm, collected way. Its the calm sort of fierce. The deadly kind.

-sigh- someday.

I wonder something . . . why do I publish posts at night? Have I become a night owl? Hm.

1 day until I go home . . . I’m so happy to see my best friend, my man and all my friends. So excited!

Au revoir,

P.S. What’s your favorite kind of jacket/coat to wear?

Let’s Try Something New – Post Fifty-Seven

Well, I’ve seen this go around fellow blogger’s posts like some sort of virus, so I thought I might give it a whirl.

The task is: fill in 12 likes, 1 love and 8 hates like Cassie in her therapy video. Below, the bolded things are what you MUST include. Also, please make sure you link it back to The Little Blog of Happiness, and link it onto 3 other blogs you admire!

I tag the following three blogs . . .
Rosalie – because she is the cutest, quirkiest girl I know.
Daydream Lily – because for some reason Australia captivates me, as does her posts.
Nirrimi – because she is an inspiration to me with my photography. & I’m jealous of her utter raw talent and how much she has accomplished.

Abracadabra wow!
I like boys with
huge dimples and girls with porcelain faces
I like to read art books because they teach me about my passion
I like wearing my man’s shirts, because they remind me of what it feels like to be held by him.
I like it when I’m so comfortable with a friend that I can just lounge on them without a care in the world, and they feel they can do the same with me
I like my best friend’s face. Its pretty durn sexy.
I like to accidentally capture something amazing. It makes me feel like I’m just natural at finding the unseen.
I like the 40s era clothing and style.
I like it when people call me elegant.
I like to make people laugh.
I like to be listened to.
I like it when my man smiles at me with his crooked smile when I’m babbling about something.
I like it when my best friend calls me on my crap.

I love it when I feel that passion burning in me.

Today I woke up to a dear who was upset beyond comprehension, but I couldn’t even hold him to make him feel better.
In some ways, I love everything.
Its less, its less of a thing to like, its less distinct, its less particular
I like things that I like but I love everything
There’s more choice in like
Cos even the worst things have things you love in them
I don’t know what you mean about things I hate

I hate being lied to.
I hate lying.
I hate brussel sprouts.
I hate not knowing what to say.
I hate feeling lonely.
I hate when you hug someone but they walk away because they don’t expect you to hug them.
I hate people who are mean for seemingly no reason. There’s always a reason. Find it you lazy ass.
I hate wishing I was back home so I could help, but knowing I’m stuck here, but not knowing why.

I hate this, wow . . .

Today Was a Fairytale – Post Fifty-Six

Isn’t the lighting in these two photos pretty? Warm, and dreamy. (:

Today has been a good day. The long distance is tough, but at least I get to see him in 8 days (: it’ll be so nice just to hug him again.

Time slows down whenever you’re around.
Can you feel this magic in the air?
It must’ve been the way you kissed me.
Fell in love when I saw you standing there.
It must’ve been the way today was Fairytale

– Taylor Swift “Today Was a Fairytale”

So Much More – Post Fifty-Five

So, as you all know very well, I got to practice my people skills! – And by people skills, I mean taking pictures of them.

It. Was. GREAT. I need to do more research on it, but I loved working with this girl. Instead of me doing all the work, we worked together. I LOVED it. She would say “what if I did this?” or “I love pictures like this” and we’d try it out and most of the time she was right with her ideas. She’s going to make a great little model someday. We worked great together, and I hope that she can come down again soon so we can create some more beautiful pictures (:

Oh, and another awesome thing: I got a job offer to do family portraits for someone (: shweet mother of pearl!

Anyway, that photo up there is just a sample of what’s to come. I’ll be creating a ‘People’ album on my Picasa web album sometime today and adding the link to my Facebook fan page for my photography and the official link to my Picasa web album. Just have to find some cute Facebook buttons (:

Au revoir,

P.S. Isn’t she beautiful? Thank you so much, doll,
for being my model (: I will gladly do this with you again any time (:

Sweet Disposition – Post Fifty-Four

Adults in our Childhood
Yet infants in our Adulthood
Our minds encumbered with options of where and what
Who to be and what to accomplish
How to do and what is best
What to find and when to try.

Most remember careless days
All hope for triumphant futures
Dreams of love and accomplishment
Provisions and wishes.

With our hands in our pockets and our heads held up high
We take a step towards our tomorrow
With our visions from today
And our decisions of yesterday
We succeed.

I might read that at my graduation. I’m really scared. Like . . . really scared.

Flowers Look Innocent; Their Buds Even More So. But . . . This Is Not The Case – Post Fifty-Three

Has anyone else noticed the effect flowers have on our eyes? As in, when you take a close up of someone’s face with (real) flowers around them or in front of them. Have you ever noticed that their eyes look . . . wild, almost? I love it.

My friend will be down in about . . . 3 days. I am so excited to see her! Its been too long. She has a gorgeous face and beautiful eyes . . . I think I may take some close ups with flowers. We have two gorgeous trees in bloom outside, so I think I may test it out.

These past few weeks have been . . . terrifying. Hard and frightening. Today probably being the worst. God is pulling me through though, and things will get better over time.

I’ve noticed something I am not afraid to do: profess my love for God, for Jesus, on the world wide web, where anyone can see it. Its a nice feeling. I love Jesus, He is my all and He keeps me afloat even when I have no life vest. He saves me from drowning, all the time. I love Him for it.

Well, anyway. I’m gonna head off. What else do you notice about photos with close ups?

Originality Died When We Began Remaking It – Post Fifty-Two

I. Saw. Beautiful.  CARS. Oh my dear. They were gorgeous! And: my truck was there! I just about died.
I took many great photos of all these beautiful cars. Unfortunately, I did NOT get a picture of myself with my two favorite beauties, but I achieved MANY gorgeous closeups of these unique beauties.

Why don’t we make our cars like we used to? So much stronger, and neater looking! I’m guessing it was more expensive, but isn’t it worth the lives it would save if we built our cars RIGHT?

Anywho, I figured out what site I’m going to use to host all my photos: Picasa Web Albums. I haven’t added all the photos that I have on it yet, but I have all the car photos up. I hope you enjoy them (:

In other news, not too many days until I get to visit home and see my best friend and my man! And then . . . my best friend comes down with me for two weeks (: and THEN . . . Graduation. Holy cow.

Anyways . . . hope you enjoy the photos. All photos were taken by me, and are unedited. I added the text using the Google Picasa Editor.

I’ll be adding more pictures as soon as I can (:

Au revoir,

Objects With No Similarity Still can Fit Together Like Two Puzzle Pieces – Post Fifty-One

Well, today is a sunny day (again; its either sunny, snowy, windy, or all three) and didn’t include wind! I went outside for a bit while waiting for my lunch to be ready and took some pictures. Yay (: I love my new XSi. I’m going to start reading my book about exposure and shutter speed and all that great stuff. Can’t wait (:

How’s your day been so far?
